If you’re in California, you may have seen the recent story of the 90 year old MS Society volunteer who has been asked to step down from her role for not adhering to their diversity, equity and inclusion guidelines. GoFund Me is NOT disability insurance.Don't put you and your family's financial wellness in the hands of crowdsourcing from friends and family. Get a plan.We all scroll and come across one I'd argue nearly on a daily basis, if not weekly. There are better ways to overcome such financial hardships due to illness or injury. PS - I'm all for GoFund Me and rallying of communities, friends, family, strangers for a good cause. I've truly seen some inspiring amounts of money be raised for individuals and families going through very difficult times. I don't take anything away from that or those that have benefited from such campaigns. I'd just rather see those campaigns not be needed because there is proper planning done. And if the good friends and community support did rally a GoFund Me in order to provide, then how awesome for the affected individual/family to put the funds toward a charity or non-profit, or be able to refund it back to all those that were readily willing to help; because they had properly addressed the risk. #Plan #FinancialPlanning #Wealth #Protect
